The Water Lantern Festival is a magical and unforgettable event where families, friends, and communities come together to celebrate life, love, and hope. The Water Lantern Festival is a for-profit event, but we are proud to give back by supporting charities and non-profit organizations at each of our events.

Each General Admission ticket includes: Entry wristband for festival access, one floating lantern kit with a lantern, tealight & marker, playing cards & conversation cards, a drawstring bag, and entry into our scavenger hunt giveaway.
Each Date Night Package includes: Two General Admission tickets & One cozy park blanket or mandala throw to share.
Additionally, the ticket price helps cover the costs of collecting and safely removing the lanterns from the water after the event, as well as cleaning up any debris that may have been present in or around the water.
Tickets are non-refundable unless Ticket Protection was purchased. Refunds are available exclusively to customers who have purchased our Ticket Protection. This protection ensures that if unforeseen circumstances arise, you can receive a refund or reschedule your ticket. Without Ticket Protection, we are unable to offer any refunds, or cancellations. We aim to hold events rain or shine and encourage guests to come prepared. You’re welcome to bring chairs, umbrellas, pop-up tents, or anything that ensures your comfort. If conditions become unsafe or if advised by local officials, we may need to postpone. If that happens, we’ll notify attendees via email and update our website and social channels. Please see our Inclement Weather Policy for more details.
Lantern launch times vary by location. Please check your event’s guide for exact timing. Launches typically begin at sunset and continue for 1–2 hours to give everyone the opportunity to release their lantern.
Each event has a unique schedule, so please refer to your event guide for arrival recommendations. We suggest arriving on time to enjoy everything the festival has to offer. Parking and check-in lines may be busy, so arriving early can help ensure a smooth experience.
No age limit, all are welcome! The Lantern Festival is open to all ages and is a family-friendly event. Children ages 8 and under are admitted free and do not require a ticket; however, they will not receive a lantern. Please note that all attendees must agree to the event waiver, and by entering the festival grounds, you acknowledge and accept its terms.
We aim to offer convenient parking options near the festival area. Parking options differ by location. Please refer to the Event Guide for detailed parking and shuttle information for your specific event. We also highly encourage using public transportation, rideshare services, or carpooling for a smoother experience.

Absolutely! Our dedicated team carefully collects every lantern after the event to ensure no debris is left behind. We’re committed to protecting the environment—learn more about our efforts on our Environmental Commitment page.
To ensure safety and environmental responsibility, outside lanterns are not permitted. Only our custom-designed lanterns (U.S. Patent No. 10,711,959 B2) may be used. They are made to float safely and be easily retrieved. Additional lanterns are available for purchase on-site.
Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Please note that all events are alcohol-free. Occasionally, certain venues do not allow outside food or beverages, so be sure to read your event guide for any exceptions. We’ll also have a variety of food vendors on-site with delicious options to enjoy.
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, all of our events are alcohol-free events.
We love pets, but for the safety and comfort of all attendees, we kindly ask that you leave them at home, unless they are service animals. If you plan to bring a service animal, please ensure they are kept on a leash or appropriately contained at all times, and we ask that you clean up after them to maintain a pleasant environment for everyone.
